Neil Hogan is the Creative Director of SHH, both ensuring that the company's design-led ethos permeates all projects in the office and directly leading both the company's commercial team, responsible for most of the bar, restaurant and retail work in the studio, as well as the branding and graphics team (who work on everything from corporate identities and 2D graphics to environmental graphics, hoardings, signage and digital media).
Neil and his team's work includes the much-fêted revamp of McDonald's in London's Oxford Street, winner of six design awards around the world, and the multi-award-winning and much-written-about 'Hub' schools canteen project for the joinedupdesignforschools initiative. The team is currently working on new concepts for global retailers and leisure operators, especially in Russia and the Middle East.
Neil has presented widely on the company's work, including, in 2008, as a guest speaker at the London Design Festival; as a specialist speaker on branding in the leisure sector at the Hotelympia exhibition in London and as a specialist on design for school dining areas at the request of The Sorrell Foundation.
