An exciting new project has just gone on site: a stunning new-build, 300-seater restaurant called Nu Asia, designed and branded by SHH for client Al-Hilal Enterprises Group. The building has been SHH designed as three elegant interlocking volumes, each one larger than the last and variously clad in timber, glass and stone. A grand stone entry staircase in Galala marble is located beneath a cantilevered entrance canopy, inset on the underside with mosaic tiling. The three-storey restaurant, situated adjacent to the Al A’ali shopping Mall in Bahrain’s capital city Manama, is aimed at a family/young adult customer profile and will offer a choice of four Asian cuisines: Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Thai. Opening is scheduled for Winter 2006.
