SHH's imaginative, low-budget project 'The Hub' - a radical new school canteen for The Acland Burghley School in north London, featuring colourful, zoned areas and all-weather stainless steel outdoor 'pods' - was invited to take part in a very prestigious exhibition last month, when it was one of 14 projects selected by The Architecture Foundation and The Architect's Journal for 'The Changing London Schools' exhibition, held in the Clerkenwell offices of architects BDP (Building Design Partnership). The exhibition, featuring work by Richard Rogers Partnership, Caruso St John Architects and BDP, amongst others, shows 'the latest innovative thinking in school design'. Also in June, The Hub was named as a Finalist in the 'Best Public Sector-Funded Leisure Development' category of The Retail & Leisure Property Awards 2006.
