Rene Dekker, Head of Residential Interiors at SHH, has been invited by House & Garden magazine to be part of a special readers' event at the Chelsea Harbour Design Centre on Tuesday November 9th 2006, offering design clinics to the magazine's readers. Rene was invited to take part after a request by the magazine to BIDA Corporate Members to nominate BIDA interior designers for the event, with whom they have a particularly good working relationship. Rene was nominated by Robert Allen Europe ltd. A second great working relationship now leading to exciting new developments is with Tim Page Carpets. Under the brand name 'ReneDekker@SHH', Rene has been invited to design a completely bespoke large-scale damask design rug, which will be created in a range of ten rugs in three sizes. The rugs will be available in needlepoint cut pile and random loop pile, in either in 100% wool or 100% silk and in any colour clients ask for. 'As a designer who specifies materials all day long', commented Rene, 'I know how useful it will be for other designers and for clients to have this complete flexibility of size, materials and colour.' The rugs will launch in Spring 2007.
